Asheville's luxury home market has continued to grow, with recent reports indicating total supply in high-end properties outpaces homes at lower price points. In the first quarter of 2024, local luxury estates that sold have featured infinity pools, elevators, with historic craftsmanship and design.

Here are the top 10 highest-priced Buncombe County home sales of the first quarter of 2024, with data provided by Canopy MLS, a data service Realtors use to track regional and city housing landscapes.

73 Crestridge Drive

Closing at a price of nearly $4 million, Josh Smith of Walnut Cove Realty sold this luxury home located in the Poplar Ridge community in early February.

The over 7,000-square-foot estate features a multi-level deck, main house and a guest house with an infinity edge pool, according to its listing before the sale. Along with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms are two heated garages with space for more than seven cars.

308 Flowering Vine Court

Closing at a price of around $3.5 million, Mark Taylor of Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Realtors sold this Ramble Biltmore Forest home in early March, making it the second most expensive home sale in Buncombe County for the first quarter of 2024.

This four-bed, four-and-a-half-bathroom home features large windows and a large private porch. The home was built by the Asheville-based Dillard-Jones Builders and features connections to neighboring trails in the Ramble, along with easy access to the community Living Well Center.

27 Beaverbrook Court

Selling for nearly $3.4 million in early February, this North Asheville home was sold by Tracy Veteto of the Asheville-based Panashe Real Estate. It was the third most expensive home sale in Buncombe County for the first quarter of 2024.

The 2017 home features an entertainment room, wet bar, multiple offices and six-bedrooms over a comfortable five acres, according to its MLS listing. Other amenities include a patio and gated area that provide a "wonderful and open outdoor space for reflection," the listing reads.

21 Greenmont Drive

With a sale price of $3 million, 21 Greenmont Drive was the fourth highest home sale for the Asheville-area in the first quarter of 2024 and was sold by Jo Chandler of Preferred Properties.

The 2002 home is 7,372 square feet with five full bathrooms, four bedrooms and "a distinctive French twist," according to its MLS listing.

"Meticulous craftmanship and superb detail are hallmarks of this private oasis with a permanent and timeless feel. Enjoy western exposure with inspiring sunsets from the covered deck with a fireplace," the listing continued

23 Lance Valley Court

The home at 23 Lance Valley Court sold for $2.9 million in late-March and was sold by Marilyn Wright of Premier Sotheby's Realty. The 4.8 acre property was the fifth most expensive sale in Buncombe County for the first quarter of 2024.

The over 3,000-square-foot Biltmore Forest home features Italian marble countertops in its kitchen and a "spa-like" bathroom attached to the master bedroom, according to its MLS listing. The home also features a one-bedroom, one-bathroom carriage house with an additional living room, kitchen, laundry and an "exceptionally oversized garage."

1 Evelyn Place

A home originally built for a cabinet member of Dwight D. Eisenhower's administration made the list as the sixth most expensive sold in the first quarter of 2024. The 1916 home was sold for $2.7 million by Anna Grace of Ivester Jackson BlackStream.

Designed by architect James Gamble Rogers in the late-1910s, the home is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the "Rueben Robertson House," as it was built for the then president and owner of Champion Paper Company. Robertson served as the sixth Deputy Secretary of Defense during Dwight D. Eisenhower's Presidency.

The architect, Rogers, was known for developing residential buildings primarily at Yale University, the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and the Butler Library at Columbia University.

807 Blackthorne Lane

This 2013 Arden home sold for $2.5 million in mid-January. The seventh most expensive sale was made by Cary Findlay with Walnut Cove Realty. The home is located in The Cliffs at Walnut Cove community.

This home was noted for its "beautiful seasonal views of the mountains" and extensive kitchen, which was called a "culinary haven," according to its Zillow listing.

8 Hemlock Road

The home at 8 Hemlock Road sold for $2.2 million in early-March, and was sold by Viv Snyder with Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Realtors. The home located adjacent to some of the most expensive homes in the Asheville-area, where 29 Hemlock Road sold for the highest price in the history of single-family home

The home features an indoor pool, an elevator and four bedrooms, according to its MLS listing. The property is only a mile away from the Biltmore Forest Country Club and features over 7,000 square-feet of space.

39 Bent Creek Preserve Road

The 2022 39 Bent Creek Preserve Road home is the ninth highest priced home sold in the first quarter of 2024. It was sold for nearly $2.2 million by Billy Harris of Team Billy Harris with Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Realtors.

The home is described as a "rustic yet modern retreat" in Bent Creek Preserve, where the home offers a "treehouse-like experience with windows framing nature views," according to its listing. Located just five minutes from the N.C. Arboretum, the home has access through a trail easem*nt to the Bent Creek Trail System.

A 2010 home at 35 Beadle Lane was sold for $2.15 million by Clary McCall of Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Realtors. It was the 10th most expensive sale in Buncombe County for the first quarter of 2024.

The Ramble Biltmore Forest home was designed by the Asheville-based Altura Architects, formerly Samsel Architects, and features an exercise room, hot tub and nearly 3,800-square-feet of space, according to its MLS listing.
